Scented Pine Cones

I was thrilled to fill up my house with the scent of pine cones baking in the oven for about 4 days. Lets just say, there is too much of a good thing. With that being said our first project got put to the side and we added some additional scent to the house. It turns out to be the best thing to do because these cones need to simmer in the essiential oil for 1-2 weeks! These bad boys will come out just in time to give thanks.

My oldest is the master mind and artist behind these crafts. You will see him from time to time after school creating the content.

All of our pine cones are cleaned and baked before crafting, these included.

What we used:

• 10-15 drops of Cinnamon Leaf Essiential Oil from Revive

• Glass Spray Bottle

• 1/4 cup of water

• A large zip lock bag

• A few pine cones ( as many as can fit in your plastic bag)

• Tongs or gloves to put the soaked pine cones into the bag

It is pretty simple. Prefect starter project. Mix the EO and water into the bottle, spray the cones and put them in the bag. Add more EO to the bag and let them sit for 1-2 weeks. Cinnamon has a property that kills mold and tons of antibacterial properties so just think of these being the cleanest pine cones youve event owned once they come out of the bag.
